What Certia is, and what it is not

Certia is an intelligence layer that works on top of your accounting tool. It reads your invoices, proposes account codes, and — once it has earned your trust — applies them for you.

Certia does not replace your accountant and does not file taxes. Your accounting tool remains the system of record; Certia proposes and applies account codes, and every action is reversible. We do not guarantee that every proposed code is the right one for your situation, and the review remains yours.

Your account and your company

You need an account with a valid email address, and you are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. A company in Certia always has one Owner, who manages the subscription and is the only person who can delete it.

You can invite other people as Admins or Bookkeepers. Each person sees only the companies they belong to, and removing someone revokes their access immediately.

The connection to your accounting tool

To work, Certia needs an access key that you enter yourself. With it, Certia reads your invoices and your chart of accounts, and writes the account code on the invoices it codes. It does not delete invoices, change amounts, or record payments.

You can disconnect the integration whenever you like. When you do, Certia stops syncing and stops writing immediately, and deletes no data.

Trial, price and payment

Every company starts with a 14-day trial, no card required. After that the subscription is charged monthly in advance at the price published on the pricing page, per company, with no seat charges and no volume charges. Prices are shown without VAT, which is added where it applies.

Payments are processed through Stripe. Your card details are held by Stripe and never by Certia.

Cancellation and missed payments

You can cancel whenever you like from Settings. Cancelling isn't immediate: you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and there are no partial refunds.

If a charge fails we tell you and retry it. If it still cannot be collected, the company pauses: Certia stops syncing and stops coding, but your data and your history stay where they are, remain readable, and can still be exported. Nothing is deleted because of a missed payment, and everything resumes once the charge goes through.

Acceptable use

You may not use Certia for anything unlawful, try to reach another company's data, or work around the technical limits of the service. We can suspend an account that does, and we'll tell you unless the law prevents it.

Availability and liability

We do what is reasonable to keep Certia available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. There can be interruptions for maintenance or through failures in the services we depend on.

Except where the law does not allow it, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to it.

Changes

We can change the service and these terms. If a change significantly disadvantages you we'll tell you by email in advance, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law, and any dispute will be brought before the courts that apply under the relevant rules.
